JAN BAJTLIK

Jan Bajtlik is a multidisciplinary artist, born in 1989 in Warsaw, he mainly devotes himself to painting, drawing and design. He graduated from the Faculty of Graphic Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (2013). The artist has won numerous awards at national and international competitions and, in 2015, he received a special award from the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Poland for his artistic and educational activities, raising children's awareness of issues related to art. Since 2016, he has regularly collaborated with Hermès and continues his personal artistic work in parallel. As part of his collaboration with Une histoire au mur, Jan chose two fables that marked his childhood: Aesop's fable, The Dog and His Shadow , and The Crow and the Fox by Jean de La Fontaine, two fables of Greek origin that also link to the ancient world on which he draws inspiration in his work. The Fox and the Crow is both very popular in France and Poland, having been translated by a famous 18th century Polish writer, Ignacy Krasicki.
